What teenager wants to go to college knowing that they will not be able to have a drink with their friends until their senior year? The opportunity is not given to young adults to make the decision of whether or not they are responsible enough to have a beer with their friends, but the government gives these same individuals the responsibility of whether or not they can risk their lives for the country.
